Device Overview

The Overview tab is the device's front page — its current health, live resources, pending work, and (when enabled) an AI read on what needs attention. It's the first tab you land on when you open a device.

Health and resources

  • Health score — a 0–100 ring summarizing the device's state from CPU, RAM, disk, and reachability. Green = healthy, amber = degraded, red = problem.
  • StatusONLINE / OFFLINE, last check‑in time, uptime, and how the device is monitored (Agent / SNMP / SSH / ping).
  • Resource matrix — current CPU, memory, and disk usage. For deeper history, jump to the Metrics tab.
  • System info — OS and version, hostname, IP, and (for agents) agent version.

Pending updates

If the device has OS/software updates waiting, Overview shows the count and lets you act:

  • Apply All Updates — installs every pending update on this device.
  • On Windows, you can expand the list and choose which updates to install.
  • Update Agent appears when a newer DashX agent is available.

The same updates can be applied to many devices at once from Bulk Update.

AI analysis

When an AI Provider is configured, Overview can summarize the device's updates and state in plain language — what's important, what's routine — so you don't have to read every CVE. This is read‑only guidance; you decide what to apply.

tip

The Overview is the fastest place to triage a single device. For fleet‑wide health, use Fleet or the Dashboards.
