Agent Health — Overview

A fleet‑wide health check of the DashX agents themselves — are they connected, are they up to date — as opposed to the health of the machines they run on.

What the Overview shows

  • Online / Offline / Stale agent counts — stale means the agent hasn't checked in recently but hasn't formally gone offline.
  • Agents by version and the latest version, plus a needs‑update count of agents behind the latest.
  • Recent health events — a feed of agent version updates, restarts, and reconnects.

How to use it

  1. Go to Monitoring → Agent Health (Overview tab).
  2. Watch Offline/Stale — a cluster of stale agents usually points to a network or connectivity issue, not the hosts themselves.
  3. If needs‑update is high, upgrade agents from Fleet → Bulk Update → Update Agents or per device on the Tunnel Agent tab.
note

This is about the agent software (versions, connectivity). For a machine's CPU/RAM/disk health, use the device Overview and Metrics.
