Build your own at‑a‑glance views by dropping widgets onto a custom layout — and set one as your home screen.

Create a dashboard

1. Go to Monitoring → Dashboards and click New Dashboard; give it a name.
2. Click Add Widget and pick from the catalog — widgets are grouped by category (Alerts, Metrics, …):
   • Alert Statistics — alert counts/trends
   • Metric Chart / Metric Value — chart or single value from a Custom Metric
   • …and more device/alert widgets
3. Arrange widgets — drag to position and resize them into the layout you want.
4. Save.

Make it your home screen

Set a dashboard as default and it becomes the view you land on when you open DashX. Change the default any time to re‑order your priorities.

tip

Start with an Alert Statistics widget plus a couple of Metric Value tiles for the numbers you check most — that's a useful morning dashboard in about a minute.
