Identity

Where DashX looks up users and groups for password auth and policy matching. Use DashX's built‑in users, bridge to your on‑prem Active Directory, or connect a cloud directory — or several at once.

Local DashX users

Create users directly in DashX for a self‑contained setup:

  1. Go to Network → RADIUS / NAC → Identity.
  2. Add a user (display name, email, groups), set a password, and reset it later as needed.

Bridge to Active Directory / LDAP

Authenticate against on‑prem AD without exposing it — a broker agent (a DashX device on your LAN) does the lookups:

  1. Add an LDAP / Active Directory source.
  2. Set the Broker agent (DashX device), Domain controller host, Base DN, and Bind DN (service account).
  3. Configure the Group base DN and attribute mappings (Email attr, Display name attr, Group attribute).

Cloud directories

Connect Entra / Azure AD (Application/client ID + config), Google Workspace, and similar as identity sources so RADIUS/MFA resolve the same users your org already uses.

Groups from any source feed Access Policies (match type = group) and MFA targeting.

tip

Bridging AD via the broker agent means users keep their existing credentials and group memberships — no new passwords, and group‑based policies "just work".
