MFA — Overview
DashX MFA is multi‑factor authentication as a service. The same engine plugs into several front doors — this tab shows them, their status, and your enrollment/verification stats at a glance.
Front doors
MFA can protect logins through multiple integration points, each marked live, partial, or coming soon:
- RADIUS challenge — MFA on 802.1X / VPN logins via RADIUS (Access‑Challenge).
- Auth API — call MFA from your own apps (see API & Prompt).
- Universal Prompt — a hosted verification page you redirect users to.
- Push — approve from a phone.
Using the Overview
- Go to Network → MFA → Overview.
- Read the stat cards — enrolled users, recent verifications, and how each front door is doing.
- From here, branch to Users & Factors to enroll people, Policies to decide when MFA is required, and the Setup Guide to wire up a device.
tip
Roll out in order: enroll users → set a policy to Optional → confirm verifications are flowing in the Overview/Activity → tighten the policy to Require MFA.
