Users
Manage who can sign in to your DashX organization and what they can do. Admins only.
Roles
| Role | Can do |
|---|---|
| Viewer | Read‑only — see devices, metrics, and reports, change nothing |
| Operator | Manage devices — run actions, apply updates, connect remotely |
| Admin | Full access — users, settings, billing, everything |
Add a user
- Go to Admin → Users.
- Fill in Username, Email, and a Password.
- Pick a Role (defaults to Viewer).
- Create — the user can sign in immediately with those credentials.
Manage existing users
- Change role — use the role dropdown next to a user; it takes effect right away.
- Reset password — issue a new password for a user who's locked out.
- Reset 2FA — clears the user's two‑factor setup so they can re‑enroll (use when they've lost their authenticator). See MFA.
- Delete — removes the user (you'll confirm; this can't be undone).
tip
Grant the least role that lets someone do their job — most teammates only need Viewer or Operator. Keep Admin to the few who manage settings and billing.
