Installed Software

Browse everything installed on this device — and install, remove, or deploy software to it. This is the per‑device view of your Software Inventory.

Find what's installed

  1. Open the device → Software.
  2. Search by name to filter the list, or use the source filter to narrow by where the package came from (OS package manager, etc.).
  3. Cross‑reference with Vulnerabilities to see which installed versions carry known CVEs.

Install a package

  1. Click Install.
  2. Enter the package name (e.g. htop) and pick the package manager (apt, yum, winget, brew, …).
  3. Submit — the install is queued as an action. Track its status in the approval/actions queue; the agent runs it on the device.

Remove a package

Find the package → Uninstall → confirm. It's queued the same way; check the actions queue for the result.

Deploy a custom installer

For software that isn't in a package manager:

  1. Click Deploy (custom installer).
  2. Upload the installer file (or pick a previously uploaded one).
  3. Push it to the device — DashX transfers and runs it through the agent.
tip

Installs/removes go through the same approval + audit path as other actions, so every software change on the device is logged in Ops Replay.
