Scan (Refresh Devices)

The Scan button in the Fleet toolbar triggers an on‑demand refresh of every device you already manage — it asks each agent/SSH host to report fresh metrics, inventory, and status right now, instead of waiting for the next scheduled poll.

Run it​

  1. In Fleet, click Scan (admins only).
  2. DashX kicks off a refresh across all devices; the grid updates as results come back (give it a few seconds).

Use this after making a change on a machine when you want its card to reflect reality immediately, rather than waiting for the regular polling interval.

Looking to discover new devices?

The Fleet Scan refreshes devices you already have. To find new devices on a subnet (and add them), use a network discovery scan from Network → Topology or a device's Scans tab — that scans a CIDR range from an agent and lists what it finds.
