Terminal

The Terminal tab gives you a full SSH shell to the device right in the browser — no local SSH client, no VPN, no open inbound ports. The connection is brokered through the DashX agent's secure tunnel.

Open a session

  1. Open the device → Terminal.
  2. The shell connects using the device's configured SSH credentials.
  3. Run commands as you would in any terminal (Ctrl+C stops a running command).

Session recording

Terminal sessions are recorded for audit and can be replayed later. While a session is live you'll see a ● Recording indicator. Recorded sessions are played back under Remote Sessions Audit (org‑wide history of every RDP/SSH/VNC session).

Whether replay recording is kept is controlled by your org's session recording setting; the audit log of who connected when is always on.

note

Terminal is for Linux/Unix SSH hosts. For Windows graphical access use RDP; for ad‑hoc, guided actions use NL Ops or the Sandbox. Operations you run are also logged in Ops Replay.
