Notes

A shared scratchpad for this device — context that metrics and inventory don't capture but the next person needs.

Add a note​

  1. Open the device → Notes.
  2. Click + Add Note.
  3. Write the note (title + body) and Save. It's immediately visible to your team on this device.
  • Edit a note to update it; Delete to remove it (you'll confirm).
  • Use Search notes to find one fast when a device has many.

What to write​

  • Who owns the device and what it's for.
  • Quirks and gotchas ("reboots need a manual service start", "don't patch during business hours").
  • Maintenance history, change windows, vendor/support references.

For structured incident work use Tickets; for actions on the device use NL Ops or the Sandbox.
