Deploy a File / Installer

Push software that isn't in a package manager — a custom .msi, .pkg, .exe, or script — by uploading it once and deploying to devices.

Deploy

1. Go to Software Inventory → Deploy File.
2. Upload the installer (add a short description so you recognize it later). It's stored for reuse.
3. Select the target devices and deploy — DashX transfers the file through the agent and runs it.
4. Track the result in the actions queue / Ops Replay; delete an uploaded installer when it's no longer needed.

tip

Upload the installer once and deploy it to as many devices as you need — no need to re‑upload per machine.
