Backup Monitor

Keep an eye on your backup jobs so you find out a backup failed before you need to restore — not during an incident.

Add a backup to monitor

1. Go to Assets & Compliance → Backups → Add.
2. Describe the job:
   • Name (e.g. daily‑db‑backup).
   • Device (e.g. prod‑db‑01).
   • Path (e.g. /mnt/backups/db).
3. Save. DashX watches the job and shows its status — success or failed — and when it last ran.

Using it

Scan the list for failed or overdue jobs and fix them promptly. A backup you're not monitoring is a backup you can't trust.

tip

Monitor the backups that matter most (databases, config, file shares) and treat a red failed status as a same‑day task — restore confidence comes from green, recent backups.
