DNS Providers

Connect the DNS provider accounts DashXDNS manages records through. Failover and Traffic Manager act on records via these providers, so set them up first.

Add a provider

  1. Go to Network → DashXDNS → ProvidersAdd Provider.
  2. Choose the type (e.g. Cloudflare, Route 53).
  3. Enter the API token / credential for that account and the zone DashX should manage.
  4. Save — once the provider shows active, its records are available to Failover and Traffic Manager.

Manage providers

Edit or delete a provider from the list. Removing a provider stops DashX from managing its records, so make sure no active failover group or routing record depends on it first.

tip

Use a scoped API token limited to the specific zone(s) DashX manages — not a full‑account key — so the credential can do only what it needs.
